Things You'll Need
Instructions
Preparing the Raid
Choose a time when the fewest Alliance will be in Stormwind. Try between midnight and noon server time. Start your raid just after the Tol Barad battle begins to ensure that Alliance PvPers are occupied.
Assemble the raid using guild chat and whispers. Avoid trade chat and local defense so no one will tip off the Alliance. Don't tell anyone in the raid which city you will attack first until you are ready to start.
Recruit a full raid of at least 25, and ideally 40, level 85 players, including one main tank, two off tanks, and at least six healers. Healers and cloth dps should be in PvP gear.
Killing Varian
Select a small party of stealthers with Have Group, Will Travel to stealth into the corridor outside the throne room. The advance party will probably need to kill a few NPCs and then quickly summon the raid to the corridor or courtyard outside the throne room.
Pull Varian outside the throne room to avoid NPC repops. The main tank should grab Varian and the off tank pull Genn Greymane. Either burn Genn first or have your off tank, a melee dps with interrupts and a healer keep Genn occupied while you burn Varian. Keep Genn well away from the raid to avoid fears.
Assign your best PvPers, with the strongest crowd control abilities, to dealing with Alliance.
Tank Varian away from your clothies; his "heroic leap" and "whirlwind" will one-shot them. Once Varian is positioned, use bloodlust and all cooldowns for a fast burn. You are unlikely to have more than five minutes to burn him before Alliance overwhelms you.
Set up a mage portal when Varian goes under 10 percent health so that you can quickly port out and regroup for the next city.
