How to Upgrade Age of Wonders 2

In the second installment of "Age of Wonders," players must restore balance to the world through an epic battle of wizards. "Age of Wonders 2" is a sequel to the original role-playing, empire-building computer game. A turn-based strategy game, "Age of Wonders 2" is played online and frequent updates allow you to upgrade the game as it progresses. Use the official website to upgrade "Age of Wonders 2" and stay current in the gaming world.

  Go to the official Heaven Games website to find various upgrades for "Age of Wonders 2" using your home computer and regular Internet browser.

  Select the link near the center of the page for the "Shadow Magic 1.4 Patch." A new tab or window will open to display the new page.

  Click the red "Download File" button near the top, right side of the page.

  Save the file to your hard drive in a location you can remember.

  Minimize your Internet browser and locate the .zip file you just downloaded to your hard drive.

  Right-click the file and select the "Extract to..." option or double-click the file and run your computer's automatic extraction program. Extract the folder to the main "Age of Wonders 2" folder already stored on your hard drive.

  Maximize your Internet browser and return to the "Age of Wonders 2" home page.

  Locate the "Downloads" section within the toolbar on the left side of the page.

  Click your left mouse button once on the "Downloads Central" link. The link is at the top of the "Downloads" section.

  Select the "Misc. Downloads" topic from the forum menu that appears.

  Download upgrades and updates as you find them. After you have the latest patch update, you're free to pick and choose other game additions you'd like to add. After the files have been unzipped and placed in the game file, load and run the game to see the changes.
