Alternatives To Healbot

All-Inclusive

• If you are looking for an all-inclusive add-on similar to Healbot, try VuhDo or Healium. VuhDo offers the most similarities to Healbot itself; it includes a set of configurable party and raid frames as well as an interface that allows you to choose what combination of mouse clicks and key presses you will cast each of your spells with. Healium, on the other hand, works slightly differently. It also includes a set of configurable party and raid frames; rather than allowing you to associate mouse clicks and key presses to your spells, though, it creates clickable buttons for them next to each frame.

Raid Frames Replacements

• If you are only using Healbot for its raid and party frames and not making use of the spell binding interface, you may benefit from replacing it with a specialized raid frame add-on. Grid is one such add-on. It places party and raid frames in a fully-configurable grid on the screen; you can modify the height and width of each frame as well as decide which buffs and debuffs will be displayed and in which area of the frame. If you are already using a unitframe add-on such as X-Perl or Stuf, that addon may also include configurable raid frames; depending on the level of customization you desire, your normal unitframe addon may be sufficient and you may not need to install any additional add-on.

Click-Casting Interfaces

• If you are already satisfied with what your party and raid frames look like but would like to be able to cast your spells by combining key presses and mouse clicks, consider installing a click-casting add-on such as Clique or EasyClick. These add-ons will not replace your party or raid frames, but will still allow you to click-cast your spells.

Considerations

• Consider your own healing style carefully before choosing an add-on. You should not feel pressured to use a specific addon because your friends recommend it; you will be more efficient if you test several different add-ons and figure out what works the best for you, whether it is an all-in-one solution or separate addons. For example, if you are used to healing with mouseover macros, an all-in-one or click-casting add-on will be largely useless to you unless you change your healing style entirely.
