Opening a New Window
When playing "Anagram Magic" in your Internet browser, it is best to make the browser window small enough so that you can see another window in the background. You will be constantly referring to your anagram solver window, and you will need to see your results from the anagram solver site. Having to tab back and forth between windows can be a huge waste of time, especially because "Anagram Magic" only gives you one minute per round to play.
Anagram Solvers
Websites like Anagrammer, Bol's Boardgames, and Anagram Solver are readily available, and people use them to play other word games like Text Twist and Scrabble. These sites are extremely simple to use; all you have to do is find the Anagram Solver or Scrabble Word Finder on the page and enter the letters into the input box.
Selecting Letters
After you start your game of "Anagram Magic," the letters first have to be selected. If it is your turn, you can "select" the letters by clicking on "Vowel" and/or "Consonant" until the letter bank at the bottom is full. Every time you click one of the buttons, the game will fill the word bank with a random vowel or consonant, depending on your preference. It is extremely important to pay attention to these letters, because you will need to input them into the anagram solver so that it can find you the highest-scoring words.
Letter Multipliers
When you type the letters into the anagram solver and click "Find Words," the sites will usually bring up a list of words, ranging from longest to shortest, or vice versa. Because "Anagram Magic" scoring is based primarily on word length, it is best to find the longest word possible. However, keep in mind that some of the letters may have double- and triple-letter multipliers, so try to create words that incorporate those letters. The "sweet spot" is finding the longest word in the word list that also includes the multiplier letters. If there are no multiplier letters, just select the longest word on the list.
