How to Level Carpentry at High Levels in Runes of Magic

In "Runes of Magic," you can undertake one or more professions. Carpentry, a production occupation, is one of the nine jobs. As a carpenter, you will work with wood and ores to create furniture, wooden gadgets, staves, bows and talismans. Before you can create something, you need to be around carpentry tools. Unless you have reached the maximum level for your current tier, each time you create an item, you will gain experience. If you haven't mastered any other profession, you can get your carpentry profession to Level 80.

Instructions

    • 1

Talk to every crafting non-player character (NPC) to obtain some carpentry recipes. These recipes detail what materials you need to make an object, the recipe cost and the required level. For example, if you want to make a Fine Wooden Bow, you need one Zinc Sand, two Ash Timber, and six gold pieces, and your carpentry skill needs to be Level 1.

    • 2

Collect the necessary materials to create the item by undertaking the following professions: mining, woodcutting or herbalism. Although these aren't official occupations, you may need to practice the following skills to obtain the required materials: smelting, extraction or wood crafting.

    • 3

Find a location with carpentry tools. When you are near carpentry tools, you can practice carpentry or wood crafting. You can find some carpentry tools at the Howling Mountains, located in Pioneer's Colony. The carpentry tools will have a Wood icon hovering over them.

Navigate to the "Normal" tab on your "Skill" interface, and select "Carpentry." Choose the item you want to create. In the lower right corner of the carpentry interface, designate the quantity of the item you want produced. Select "Craft."

    • 5

Obtain higher-level recipes from crafting NPCs. Items that require you to have high crafting skill will reward more experience points. At Level 20, take the Craftsman's test. Once you reach Level 40, pass the Adept's test. Become a Master at carpentry once you reach Level 80 by taking the test.
