The online game "MapleStory" has distinct music for most of its levels, which loops ad nauseam while you are playing. This repetition can become grating after a few visits to a location, especially if you're grinding away on enemies for hours on end. You can mute the sound produced by "MapleStory" and play your own music instead. Even if you don't have your own soundtrack to play, you may want to mute the music just to make it stop.
