How to Gain EP in Bounty Hunter Worlds

Jagex released Earning Potential to make the drops in a Bounty Hunter world more worthwhile to players. Your EP determines whether you get a valuable drop like a corrupt dragon scimitar, ancient statuette or seren statuette. Your EP will increase by 10 to 25 percent when standing in a cool zone or hot zone for 30 minutes. The higher your EP is, the more precious drops you will get. Certain actions, such as teleporting to avoid death, will make you lose EP.

Instructions

  Choose a free-to-play or play-to-play Bounty Hunter world. Experienced players at Sal's Realm of RuneScape recommend you play on a P2P world, since the drops are far more valuable. You need to be a paid member to log into a P2P world.

  Risk 25,000 gold coins in a F2P world, or 75,000 GP on a P2P world. The 25,000 or 75,000 GP that you risk can be in the form of items or pure gold coins. Check the "Items Kept on Death" screen to see how much gold coins you are risking.

  Head to one of the following hot zones: Falador, Ardougne, Troll Stronghold, Varrock or the Wilderness. At a hotzone, your earning potential will increase by 25 percent every 30 minutes. Train a skill or stand in the hotspot to gain potential. Hide upstairs or downstairs in an empty building of Varrock, Falador or Varrock if you choose to stand around.

  Track down and kill your target on the Bounty world. Kill people other than your targets. You earn extra EP for every player in a Bounty world you kill.

  Leave the P2P Bounty world and log into a F2P Bounty world once you have 29 EP. When you leave a P2P world for a F2P world, your EP will increase by 3.5x. If you had 29 EP before, you will have 101.5 EP when you log into the F2P world. The opposite happens if you leave a F2P world for a P2P world.
