How Do You Get Your Pet Happy in Moshi Monsters?

It would be wise to learn what makes your monster happy if you're thinking about adopting a Moshi Monster virtual pet. "Moshi Monsters" are the brainchild of British media company Mindy Candy. The virtual pet and social networking online game, designed for children 6 to 12 years old, launched in 2008. By June 2011, it was announced that Moshi Monsters had over 50 million users worldwide. Children can design their own monsters by selecting a pet from a handful of creatures and choosing its name, gender and color scheme. Your monster's personality depends on your ability to make and keep it happy from the start of the game.

  Get Rox and spend it on your monster. Rox are the in-game currency on "Moshi Monsters." The Rox icon tells you how much you have to spend on your monster's happiness. Earn more Rox by playing the game and solving various online puzzles.

  Go shopping. Monsters love presents and they particularly like new clothes. Head to the shops by clicking the map icon and selecting a shop for your monster's fashion spree. Items purchased will appear in your inventory chest. Rare items, indicated by a clover leaf tag, are especially desired. Snatch up any rare items you find quickly because store items are always changing.

  Feed your monster healthy food. Open your inventory chest from inside your monster's home. Drag and drop food you buy from the "grocer store" into your monster to feed it. You can't just drop food in the house; it must go directly into the monster. Different foods affect your monster differently. Feed your monster a wide variety of edibles while keeping track of how the food is affecting its health meter to know what your monster likes to eat.

  Ace a puzzle game. Monsters love it when you do well on puzzle games within "Moshi Monsters."

  Tickle your monster by clicking it. This will make your monster giggle and laugh.

  Redecorate your monster's pad with items from Yukea on Main Street and DIY Shop on Sludge Street. You can even buy four more rooms for your house from the "New Houses" shop on LaLa Lane. "Moshi Monsters" is a free game in basic mode, but you have to be a paid Moshi member to buy more rooms. Anyone can redecorate.

  Get your monster a pet. Moshlings are little pets for your monster that are found in the wilds of the game. Moshlings are attracted to flowers. You must grow three flowers to attract a Moshling. Some Moshlings are easy to catch, while others are rare and seek out only certain colors of flowers.

  Make your monster popular. Increase your monster's popularity by visiting other monster's homes and rating them. The more homes you visit and rate, the higher your monster's popularity will rise.
