What Are Some Old Dungeons in WoW That Drop Interesting Loot?

Blackrock Depths and Blackrock Spire

• Both Blackrock Depths and Blackrock Spire may drop low-level epic items, some of which have a unique look or effect, such as Circle of Flame, Blackblade of Shahram and Mark of the Dragon Lord. Additionally, Fineous Darkvire in Blackrock Depths may drop a rare bind-on-pickup shirt, Master Builder's Shirt; Quartermaster Zigris and Mother Smolderweb in Blackrock Spire will each drop a vanity pet, Worg Carrier and Smolderweb Egg respectively.

Stratholme and Scholomance

• Both Stratholme and Scholomance may drop some low-level epic items. Doctor Theolen Krastinov in Scholomance may drop a rare bind-on-pickup shirt, Sawbones Shirt. Lord Aurius Rivendare, in Stratholme, may drop a rare mount, Deathcharger's Reins. Kael'thas Sunstrider, the final boss of the dungeon, may drop the Phoenix Hatchling vanity pet in both normal and heroic difficulty, and the Swift White Hawkstrider mount in heroic difficulty only.

Icecrown Citadel

• Many bosses within the Icecrown Citadel raid dungeon may drop items with interesting effects; these items include Deathbringer's Will, a trinket that randomly transforms you into different creatures while you fight, Abracadaver, a staff that allows you to summon a small skeleton, and Nibelung, a staff that will occasionally summon a Val'kyr during fights. Precious, a plague hound found in the Plagueworks wing of the dungeon, has a chance to drop Precious' Ribbon, a rare, bind-on-pickup shirt.

Scarlet Monastery

• Arcanist Doan, the final boss of Scarlet Monastery's Library wing, has a chance to drop a low-level epic ring, Deadman's Hand, which may cause your attacker to freeze in place for three seconds when you are attacked. Additionally, the Scarlet Trainees that appear when Herod, the final boss of the Armory wing, is defeated, have a low chance to drop the Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade, a rare bind-on-pickup tabard with a unique look. Finally, various enemies within all wings of this dungeon have a chance to drop an item belonging to the Chain of the Scarlet Crusade, an item set which mimics the look of the armor worn by nonplayer characters belonging to the Scarlet Crusade faction.

Low-level Epic Items From Dungeons

• Several low-level dungeons have a chance to drop one or more epic items. The chest that appears after defeating the final boss of the North wing of Dire Maul may drop an axe called the Treant's Bane. Princess Theradras, the final boss of Maraudon, may drop a dagger called Blade of Eternal Darkness. Bosses in Sunken Temple may drop the Embrace of the Wind Serpent, a cloth robe, and Dragon's Call, a sword that has a chance to summon an emerald dragon whelp when you hit an enemy. Bosses in Zul'farrak may drop two swords, Sang'thraze the Deflector and Jang'thraze the Protector. These two swords can be combined to form an epic sword, Sul'thraze the Lasher.

Legendary Items From Dungeons

• Illidan Stormrage, the final boss of the Black Temple raid dungeon, has a chance to drop the Warglaives of Azzinoth, two legendary swords; Kil'jaeden, the final boss of the Sunwell Plateau raid dungeon, has a chance to drop Thori'dal, the Stars' Fury, a legendary bow. Garr and Geddon, two bosses in the Molten Core raid dungeon, may drop the Bindings of the Windseeker, legendary items that will allow you to create Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, a legendary sword. Finally, Ragnaros, the final boss in Molten Core, may drop the Eye of Sulfuras, a legendary item that can be combined with a Sulfuron Hammer to create Sulfuras, the Hand of Ragnaros, a legendary mace. All these legendary items have a unique model and will grant an achievement to your character when you acquire them.

Mounts From Dungeons

• Several bosses in old dungeons have a low chance to drop mounts with a unique look. Infinite Corruptor, a special boss in the heroic difficulty of the Culling of Stratholme dungeon, will drop a Bronze Drake if reached within the allotted period of time. Anzu, a boss present only in the heroic difficulty of the Sethekk Halls dungeon, may drop the Raven Lord mount. Skadi, a boss in the Utgarde Pinnacle dungeon, may drop a Blue Proto-Drake if fought in heroic difficulty. Kael'thas Sunstrider, the final boss of the Tempest Keep raid dungeon, may drop the Ashes of A'lar, an extremely rare phoenix mount. Onyxia, the only boss of the Onyxia's Lair raid dungeon, may drop the Onyxian Drake, an extremely rare drake mount. Attumen the Huntsman, the first boss of the Karazhan raid dungeon, may drop the Fiery Warhorse mount.
