How to Tame an Animal in Hero Online

Hero Online is a free role-playing game (RPG) developed by Netgame. Like many RPGs, a choice of character professions is offered at the start and each profession will excel in certain aspects but have some deficiencies in other areas. The hunter profession gives your character the unique ability to tame wild animals, which can be used to fight alongside you against enemies. Each type of animal requires your character to attain a certain level and higher levels increase your success rate with taming.

Taming Animals

  Travel to the Dragon Castle and use the map to navigate to the Hunter Trainer. Talk to him by clicking on him and select "Hunter" as your job. He will teach you the "Howl of Tame" skill that allows you to tame animals.

  Open the skill page by clicking on the appropriate icon and select the newly learned "Howl of Tame" skill. Press the "B" button to add your available skill points to the skill to increase your success rate when taming.

  Click and drag the "Howl of Tame" skill from the skill page to an empty slot on your toolbar.

  Approach the animal you wish to tame and begin attacking it with your weapon. Carefully monitor the health of the animal. The health of the animal must be at 10 percent to begin the taming process.

  When the health of the animal drops to 10 percent, click on the "Howl of Tame" icon on your toolbar. If the animal's health suddenly drops to zero percent, that indicates a successfully tamed animal and it should stop attacking you.

  If the health of the animal increases back to 100 percent, that means the taming process has failed. Repeat the process of using the "Howl of Tame" skill when the animal is at 10 percent health until you successfully tame it.
