Zoom out when you first enter a level so that you can see a wide view of the field. This assists you in more accurately judging distance, the type of throw that will work best and spot any otherwise-hidden items that you can use to your advantage. Use your last bird̵7;s dust trail to help gauge your next shot, if you miss the first time ̵1; but wait for the previous bird to disappear before attempting to launch another. If you accidentally hit your last bird, you loose speed and velocity.
Look for weak spots; structures with open tops or bottoms, glass panels or wooden bases are easy to take out of you aim for vulnerable areas. Experienced players also advise restarting levels in order to make sure you get the best accuracy and time. It̵7;s better to restart a level you are not doing well in than finish the level with fewer than three stars. After all, these stars earn you extra birds and goodies in the game.
Starting Rio Strongly
Like the classic version of Angry Birds, Angry Birds Rio involves flinging birds into structures. Only, instead of destroying the structures, home to a clan of mean-spirited pigs, in Rio the homes house evil monkeys, who you must kill to reach the next level.
It is especially crucial that you begin the game strongly in order to achieve a three-star score. On the first level, aim for the top half of the highlighted box and allow your bird to drop through and roll out the other side, breaking some of the boxes in the process. In the next set of boxes, aim for those circled in red in order to destroy the box circled in white. The key is to destroy this white box in one shot. If you miss, restart the level.
Unlockable Levels
In Angry Birds and Angry Birds Rio, when you beat all levels you will unlock the game̵7;s trailer. If you beat Angry Birds on all levels with a three-star score to unlock a stage called ̶0;Big Present.̶1; If you can capture the golden egg in the 13th part of level one, you will unlock the ̶0;Golden Egg̶1; stage.
