How to Beat Cherry Lakes in Fairway Solitaire

Right-click on the "Play Fairway Solitaire" icon on your desktop, and then click "Properties" from the pop-up menu. Click the "Shortcut" tab, and then click "Open File location." This will take you to the folder where the game is installed on your hard drive.

Double-click the "Data" folder. Right-click on the "CourseList.CSV" file in this folder, and then click "Copy." Right-click anywhere in the folder, and select "Paste." You will have a new file called "Courselist -copy.CSV." This file is your backup, in case you ever want to revert the game to normal.

Right-click the "CourseList.CSV" file, and select "Open With" from the pop-up menu. Click "Notepad" from the list of available programs.

Click "Format" at the top of Notepad, and then click "Wordwrap" so that the text is more readable. Scroll down to line 35, where the words "Anaconda Club" appear along with a string of words and numbers. This is the level after "Cherry Lakes" and lists the requirements for unlocking it -- or beating Cherry lakes.

Change the number "5" next to "Score" in this line of text to something you think you'll be able to easily obtain. For example, a score of "20" means you can be 20 over par on "Cherry Lakes" and still beat the course. To make things even easier, change the word "SCORE" to "TOKENS" and the number "5" to "100." This means that you only have to get $100 in cash on the "Cherry Lakes" course to beat it. You will get that in the first round of the "Cherry Lakes" tournament, so it is a guaranteed win.

Click "File" and "Save As." Select "All Files" from the drop-down menu next to "Save as Type." Click "Save" and then "Yes" when asked if you are sure. Start the game normally, and the requirement for beating Cherry Lake is now whatever you selected.
