Cheats on How to Get Armor in Torchlight

In the PC game "Torchlight," you are able to take on the role of an adventurer that is exploring the corrupted dungeons beneath the fictional mining town of Torchlight. Typical gameplay consists of killing monsters and competing quests, and your character will gain levels and random equipment by fulfilling these tasks. However, this can be a very time-consuming process for some players, and they would prefer to earn armor quickly by cheating. This is easy to accomplish on the PC via the in-game console command.

  Activate the Torchlight console. You can do this by going to the Application Data folder for Torchlight. Typically, this folder is located on your computer at "C:/Documents and Settings/User(or whatever your username is)/Application Data/Runic Games/Torchlight".

  Open the "Settings.txt" file located in the Application Data folder. At the bottom of the document, you will see a line that says, "Console: 0." Change the "0" to a "1" to activate the console and save the file.

  Start your "Torchlight" game. Once it has loaded, hold down the Shift key and press the "~" key. This will open the console.

  Type in the armor slot that you want to get armor for, and it will show you all of the armor available for that slot. For example, type "Belt" into the console and it will show you a list of all the belts in the game. The slot commands are "belt," "boots," "chest armor," "gloves," "helmet," "shoulder armor," "trinket" and "weapon." The weapon slot can be broken down further by typing in a weapon type (axe, pistol, staff and so on.).

  Look at the list that comes up after you type in an armor slot name. When you find a specific armor, look at the number associated with it and type the armor type and the item's number. If you want the fifteenth belt, for example, you would type "belt 15" to get that specific belt.
