First Job
The First Job begins at Level 10, when you cease to be a Beginner and get access to Aran abilities. For the first few levels put all your ability points into Double Swing, but add one each to Combat Step and Combo Ability. Once Double Swing has its maximum 20 points, put four more points into Combat Step and then put eight into Save 3 SP. At Level 22 put all 11 points into Pole Arm Booster, then max out Combat Step and Combo Ability. Put the last couple of points into Pole Arm Booster.
Second Job
The Second Job starts at Level 30, making new abilities available. Start by putting three points into Triple Swing, then max out Pole Arm Mastery. Add three more points to Triple Swing before filling Save 3 SP, Combo Smash and Triple Swing. Then concentrate on Combo Drain and Body Pressure, and finally fill Final Charge up as far as you can, to 21 points.
Third Job
Third Job starts at Level 70. Put all of your points into Full Swing until it is at maximum, then do the same with Critical Combo and Snow Charge. Next, fill up Final Toss and Fenrir Phantom, before maxing out Smart Knockback and putting the final 11 points into Whirlwind. This will take you up to Level 120.
Fourth Job
The Fourth and final Job takes you from Level 120 to 200. Start by putting a point each into Overswing, Sudden Strike, High Mastery and Final Blow before concentrating on getting Overswing up to maximum. Then start on High Mastery and Freeze Standing. This covers the most important Fourth Job abilities. What to do with the remaining points is up to you, but putting some into High Defense and Maple Warrior will improve your character defensively, and Combo Tempest is a good attack if you are building a more aggressive character.
