How to Design Your Own Ship in Critical Mass

"Critical Mass" is a two-dimensional space strategy game designed by Sean O'Connor. Players control a wide variety of ships as they fight against enemies. Players can also create their own space ships. Creating ships lets you design the exact type of game you want to make, giving you access to the weapons and items you want to use. The ship designer editor it simple and easy to use.

Instructions

  Click the "Ship" option on the top of the game menu to open up a drop-down menu. Select "Design Ships."

  Select the "Missiles" menu at the top-left of the design screen to select the type of missiles you want to install. Use the information at the bottom-right, such as cost, turn and thrust to decide which missiles to install.

  Use the top menu to select the ship type. Ship types vary on turning ability, thrusting and cost. Pick the ship shape you want.

  Pick extra items, such as super shields and super weapons at the top-right. Click these to add them to your ship. Read the description at the bottom-right to understand what each item does.

  Assess how much your ship costs and determine if you can afford it. Click "Okay" if you are ready to make your ship.
