SWAT 4 Cheats for Diamond Store

"SWAT 4" is PC-based video game that puts the player in charge of a five-man Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit in the center of dangerous missions. Mission Eight is set in the fictional DuPlessis Wholesale Diamond Center, where heavily armed thieves have entered and taken hostages. Some of the following hints and cheats are meant for the Diamond Store level and some can be useful not just for this level, but for the entire game.

Level 8 Entrances
- Level 8 allows players to enter the bank building under siege through not just the front door, which takes you into the main lobby, but a second floor service entrance as well. The lobby is a hub of activity with people --some gunmen and some civilians -- entering from both floors above and the basement below. The more people, the more potential problems. Use the second floor entrance instead. The second floor entrance will take you directly to a hallway away from the area where the gunmen and hostages are.
Enable Cheat Codes
- To enable a series of "SWAT 4" cheat codes, it will require modifying the program's code. Make a back up of the "SWAT 4" program on your computer, in case you make a mistake. Find the file labeled,"Swat4.ini" in your computer's system directory. Open this file using a text editor program and locate the line reading, "EnableDevTools=False" and change it to, "EnableDevTools=True". Save it and then open the SWAT 4 game program and start a mission. Pressing the "~" will open a console in which to type in the cheats codes.
"God" Mode
- Once you have changed the program code to enable the cheat codes and reopened the game, press the "~" key and enter the word "god". This will now enable the "God mode," where the player is now invulnerable to any gunfire or injuries. Use this when you want to figure out the the layout of Level 8, where the enemies and hostages are and what to expect. Then, turn the God mode off, by pressing "~" and typing in "god" again and try to play the level normally.
Change the Ammo Limit
- Open the program folder and locate the file, "SwatEquipment.ini", in the directory folder. Open it with a text editor and find the line that starts, "MagazineSize=", followed by a number. This number is your ammo capacity and you can raise it considerably. For an ammo capacity of 1,000,000, change the line to, "MagazineSize=1000000". This cheat only works on shotguns and pistols and will not work with the machine gun.
