Enabling the Cheat Console
To enable the cheat console, you must first locate and open the file "config.cfg" from your game's installation directory. This file can be opened and edited using any text editor software. Locate the line "uset g_console" and change the "0" to a "1." After doing this, you can access the cheat console at any time during the game by pressing the tilde key on your keyboard.
Cheat Codes
Once you have enabled the cheat console, you can enter in one of the following cheat codes. Enter "cheat noticket" to get rid of all speeding and weight tickets in the game or type "cheat dmeet" to meet all of the other drivers in the game. Your truck can be changed by entering the code "cheat truck X," where "X" equals any number between one and eight. You can change your truck to a Formula One race car by typing "cheat truck 7" or "cheat truck 8." Your skill rating can be changed by typing "cheat skill 1," "cheat skill 2," "cheat skill 3" or "cheat skill 4." You can also set the amount of money you have by typing "cheat money X," where "X" equals the exact amount of cash you desire.
Easy Access To Services
Locate and open the "config.cfg" file from the installation directory. This file can be opened and easily edited with any basic text editor software. Once open, add the following three lines to the file: bind_imp f2 "service," bind_imp f3 "weightstation," and bind_imp f4 "gasstation." You will now have easy access to these services whenever you need them in the game. Once your game has been started, press "F2" to activate the service window, "F3" to activate the weigh station window and "F4" to activate the gas station window.
Eliminate Traffic
Traffic can become quite an obstacle in "Hard Truck: 18 Wheels of Steel," especially when you are trying to make an important delivery on time. Use a text editor to open the "config.cfg" file from the game's installation directory and locate the line that reads "uset g_traffic." Change the "1" to a "0" to get rid of all the in-game traffic.
