Extra Food at Game Start
When the game begins, the villagers will have a bin that contains a small amount of food. Fill the food bin with almost 4,000 pieces of fruit and honey to feed the inhabitants for weeks. If the "Virtual Villagers 3" game is open, close it to start the cheat. Set your computer's time and date ahead by one day. Start the game and use a villager to get honey, and another to collect the seed in the top left of the game screen. Plant the seed in the same location by clicking the ground. While the game is still playing, press the ̶0;Windows̶1; or ̶0;Apple̶1; key to get back to the desktop. Change the computer's settings back to the current time and day. Go back to the game, and you will find that the time change has caused the villagers to quickly gather thousands of honey and fruit.
Pause Starving Villagers
When villagers run out of food, they will eventually starve to death. To save the villagers, put the game on pause when there is little or no food left in the bins. Go back to the desktop and set the computer clock ahead by one day. Check the food bins, and there should be more food available to the inhabitants. Get more food when you drag and drop the chief onto the food bin. He will make food for the villager once every 24 hours.
Duplicate Mushroom
When a mushroom shows up on the island, pause the game. Drag and drop each child onto the same mushroom. When you resume the game, each child will bring a mushroom to the food bin.
Multiple Villager Harvest Cheat
When the berry bush bears large amounts of berries, they can be multiplied like the mushrooms. The game does not have to go into pause mode. Drag and drop each villager on the berry bush. Keep dropping them onto the berries until they begin to harvest the food themselves. Each villager can continue to harvest because the game will not count the berries until they are in the food bin. So if only 10 berries are left, each villager will have 10 berries to put in the bin until the last person drops his food in the bin.
