Getting Power Gems
Power gems are powerful bonus jewels that can help clear your board quicker and score massive points. There are specific things you must do to earn these gems. Placing four gems of a similar type next to each other will earn you a flame gem. The flame gem has a particular color, and if it is matched with other gems it will explode, destroying the surrounding gems. It will also ignite any surrounding flame gems, which can create a chain reaction. Clear a "T" or "L" shape with your gems to earn a star gem. Matching the star gem with similarly colored gems emits an electrical charge, destroying all gems horizontal or vertical with the gem. Hitting other star gems causes a chain reaction. Clearing five similar gems gives you a hyper cube. Switching it with a cube will destroy all cubes of that color.
Play the Bottom
One simple strategy for "Bejeweled Blitz" is to play the bottom of the board as much as possible. After you make a match, your gems will fall. If the gems fall and match up with other gems, they create what is known as a cascade, or combo. Making multiple combos is an excellent way to rack up major points. Playing the bottom of the screen is therefore one of the best ways to get cascades, as more gems will fall when you make matches. Playing near the top is essential when you don̵7;t have other matches, but it gives you few chances for cascades. Start the game by playing at the bottom immediately. If you consistently play the bottom, you will have a much better chance at keeping the cascades coming.
Use the Multiplier
Multipliers help boost the score of your matches exponentially. Getting a multiplier is simple: Clear away 12 or more gems using one move. This may seem difficult, but using flame and star gems can make this easier. The multiplier will appear on the screen as a number. Avoid matching the multiplier until you have made as may multipliers as possible. Move them close together, and then use a flame or star gem to explode all the multipliers. Each multiplier doubles the score. Combining multipliers adds to the score boost. Two multipliers will quadruple the score: 10 multipliers will increase your score by 20 times. Getting power gems and multipliers should be your main goal in this game. Regularly getting multiple multipliers will make your score soar.
