Tips on the Game Mahjong Quest 2

Valid Tiles

• During only the first round of Mahjong Quest 2 will the game tell you which tiles can be removed and which are blocked from removal. In subsequent rounds note that in order for a tile to be removed from the board it must have either the right or left side open and no tiles directly on top of it.

Working Around the Board

• Work around tiles on the board to get to the ones you need. For example, if the “Bamboo 2” tile you want is blocked on the left side by the “Blue Dragon” tile see where the other dragon tile is located. Try to remove the dragons. If the second dragon is blocked, see what blocks it. Work your way back to the point you can make a match then work back down to your wanted tile.

Board Objectives

• Know the object of each board during the quest. Not every board requires you to remove every tile. For example, one board only requires that you free balloons that are covered in tiles. Rather than removing every tile, focus on the ones that will help you win the board. Spending too much time on extraneous tiles can cause you to run out of time.

Board Flip

• When you are staring at the board and cannot find a match, flip the board around for a new view. Click the arrows near the bottom left of the game screen flip the board horizontally or vertically. No new tiles will be uncovered but you can take a fresh look at the Mahjong board. This will have no negative impact on your score or time limit.

Firecrackers

• On boards with firecracker tiles, get rid of these tiles first. The firecracker has to follow the rule of not having a tile on the right or left but the corresponding tile can be any space on the board which color matches the firecracker color. Destroy these spaces first to open up the board and allow tiles to be removed from several different levels right from the start.
