Auto Mechanic Games

Auto mechanics have a very dirty, difficult job. They will spend hours underneath the hood and body of a car fixing mechanical problems. They must have a thorough understanding of the way an automobile operates. They must be good with their hands and their minds. Auto mechanic games can give you a chance to be a mechanic without all the investment and grease.
  1. Car Work Shop

    • Car Work Shop, a game available at the Games List website, gives players a chance to learn about time management in an auto shop. Players must fix as many vehicles as possible. However, players only have a few areas where the car can be repaired. In the early levels, they only have one spot, while later levels add up to three. Players click on the car and then click on the repair area or “dock.” Once the car is on the dock, players must perform the repair the car desires. This includes adding new tires, doing mechanical work and filling it up with gas. Players don’t control the exact repair procedure. Instead, they simply click on the correct repair module behind them and click on the car that needs the repair. Each car has the repair needed printed on top of the car. Each fixed car wins points.

    Gearhead Garage

    • While Car Work Shop helps teach players about time management, they don’t get very much hands-on repair practice. However, in Gearhead Garage, players can get their virtual hands down and dirty. Players can buy as many cars as they can afford and can make all repairs and upgrade decisions. Players can buy any part they like and install the parts. Players are attempting to make as much money as possible, so the game is part repair game and part money management simulation. Players can visit junkyards and auctions to find cheap parts and cars. Players don’t directly control the repair and modification process. Instead, they make the decisions and the game does the repairs. However, the game will be a real challenge to amateur and professional mechanics as the wrong repair and modification decisions can lead to a poorly running car, just like in real life.

    Fit It Yourself!

    • Car Work Shop and Gearhead Garage are involving games that can get difficult fast. However, Fix It Yourself! is a simpler auto mechanic game that will be appropriate for younger ages. The game screen displays a still image of an engine. Red arrows pop up around the engine constantly. The player must fix these problems using their trusty hammer. Players move the hammer around the screen using the mouse and strike the engine using the left mouse button. Hitting the arrow adds a point to the “hit” score but missing an arrow adds a point to the “missed” score. Players have a limited amount of time to hit as many arrows as possible. While the game is very simple, it can get very fast paced and challenging as the time counts down. Mastering the game requires quick reflexes, which any mechanic definitely needs.
