"Deer Hunter 2005" players can enter cheat codes by first pressing the "~" key on their keyboards and then entering "/cheat CODE." Players can then type the cheat code they desire. To improve at shooting regardless of where the accuracy bar is, players can type "dhrambo." Typing "rainman" causes the weather conditions to be rainy in the hunting environment. Conditions become sunny if "shine" is entered. To increase the speed of the hunter, players can type "theflash." Deer become less inclined to run away if the code "daredevil" is entered. Players are given a GPS map in "Deer Hunter 2005," and if "aliens" is entered, the location of all deer will show up. Thermal wear is given to all players who enter "predator," while random effects begin to occur if "matrix" is typed.
Shooting Milestones
Players can unlock special trophies in "Deer Hunter 2005" by reaching certain shooting milestones. Players who shoot at least one buck from every species earn the "Bronze Grand Slam" trophy, while the "Silver Grand Slam" trophy is unlocked by killing a record size buck from every species in the game. To get the "Gold Grand Slam" trophy, players must shoot a buck that qualifies as world record size in every species of "Deer Hunter 2005."
Tasks
Other trophies in "Deer Hunter 2005" are earned by completing random tasks throughout the game. To unlock the "Gold Skin Trophy" players must use all weapons in the game to capture a gold skin. GS Handguns and Bows are earned after reaching 10 bucks, while getting to 15 bucks unlocks GS shotguns, rifles, and crossbows. The GS Autoloader and Bolt Rifle are unlocked by killing 20 bucks. Players get the "Seasoned Hunter Trophy" once the game hits 10 total hours of play. "Deer Hunter 2005" has a points system that also gradually rewards players. Once 100 points are reached, the "Master Hunter Trophy" is unlocked.
