Start the game. Select the "Career Mode" option.
Wait for customers to arrive and give them a menu by clicking on them. When an image of the cake they would like appears as a thought bubble, go to the oven and select the appropriate cake-shaped icon. If possible, make the cake for the most impatient customers first. You can see their level of patience by the number of heart icons that appear next to them.
Grab the cake when it displays on top of the oven. Frost the cake with the appropriate colored frosting. When it is ready, take it to the customer. If you make a mistake on a cake, store it on top of one of your ovens. Throwing it away causes you to lose points. You may even be able to salvage it for another customer later in that same current level.
You cannot pick up more than one item at a time. Be careful not to accidentally stack any needed single-layered cakes together. Once they are stacked, there is no way to take them apart and you will need to throw away the cake and make another one.
Collect the money when the customer leaves. This will trigger more customers to arrive.
Repeat steps two through five until the current level is completed. A results screen will then display to let you know if you were successful in raising the appropriate amount of money for that current level of the game. If you did not reach this goal, you will need to repeat the level again.
Upgrade equipment or other items. After you finish each Cake Mania 2 level, you can purchase things that will help improve your current equipment's efficiency, increase your profits or help with customers' patience. To help increase customer patience, purchase a cookie baking oven or TV during your upgrade equipment phase. To serve customers faster, purchase multiple ovens and frosting stations.
