Microsoft Age of Empires 2 Cheats

Microsoft's "Age of Empires 2" is a real-time strategy game that involves quick thinking as you build an infrastructure and army. The aim of the game is to completely dominate, and that is done by annihilating the competition. If the game has become too challenging or you are just looking for a way to speed things up, there are several cheat codes that can give you an upper hand in the game.

1,000 Credits
- Credits are one of the key elements of "Age of Empires 2." There are several codes when used that give you 1,000 points instantly. To get 1,000 points of food, type "cheese steak jimmy's" in the chat window. For 1,000 points of gold, type "robin hood" in the chat window. Typing "rock on" in the chat window gets you 1,000 points of stone. To get 1,000 points of wood, type "lumberjack" into the chat window.
Commit Suicide
- Whatever your reason may be, there is a cheat code to commit suicide in "Age of Empires 2." Open up the chat window and type "wimpywimpywimpy" just like that. Do not put in any spaces or capitalize the words.
Control Animals
- If you have wanted to use the animals in the game to your advantage, this is your chance. Open up the chat window and type "natural wonders" to gain control of the animals. The only catch with this cheat code is even though you control animals, you completely lose control of your men.
Full Map
- If you are interested in seeing areas you have not yet explored, there is a way to see the whole game map at any stage in the game. Simply open the chat window and type "marco" to reveal the entire map.
Instant Building
- Constructing buildings takes time in "Age of Empires 2." Since you are racing against opponents, every way to speed up the building up of your own empire could mean your survival over others. Open the chat window and type "aegis" and your building will pop up completely finished in a flash. Now you can direct your men elsewhere.
Slay All Opponents
- If you have gotten yourself into a complete bind in the game and need to kill off all your enemies, there is a way. Again, open the chat window and type "black death" to see all your opponents drop like flies, leaving your men safe and alive.
Kill One Opponent
- If the option of killing all of your enemies at once does not appeal to you, you may want to consider targeting one especially dangerous enemy. To do this, open the chat window and type "torpedo" and the number of the enemy you want to kill.
Win Campaign
- If, for whatever reason, you have had it and just want to win the campaign, there is a cheat code for that as well. Open the chat window and type "i r winner" to automatically win.
