How to Build a Tree House on Sims 2

Sims 2 is a life simulation game put out in 2004 by Maxis. Since the release, there have been eight expansions to the game plus nine accessory pack additions. One of the common topics on Sims message boards and forums is how to create more interesting houses with the tools given in the game. Of these, the tree house is one of the houses many people are trying to achieve.

Instructions

  Open the game and begin play with a totally bare house lot. You will see a tree in the game's gardening/landscape items. That is the tree you will need to use to make the tree house because of the way the branches have grown.

  Use the terrain modifier tool, and make a hill that only incorporates one square on the lot map. Make this pointed hill nearly to the top of the lowest tree limb. It may take you more than once to get this step done correctly.

  Use the column deck foundation to cover the entire lower limb with a floor. After you have the floor in place, you can then demolish the hill. You can also demolish the supports by getting the pool tool and highlighting the foundation floor you have and pressing Control. At this point, should you prefer two trees instead of one; you can place another tree near with that lower branch looking like it just touches.

  Create a room on the foundation that does not take up the entire floor. You will need to keep some of the floor open for the stairs and such.

  Create stairs leading up to the floor level from the ground.

  Create the house you want with the landscaping you prefer, just like a regular house.
