18 Wheels of Steel Haulin PC Cheats

If you're having a difficult time beating "18 Wheels of Steel: Haulin'," there are plenty of cheats that can help you out. First, however, you will have to modify the file named "config.cfg," which should be present in your game directory. Open the file and find the lines that read "uset g_console '0'" and "uset g_developer '0.'" Using a text editor such as Wordpad, change them to read "uset g_console '1'" and "uset g_developer '1.'"

Money Cheat
- The first cheat code adds $500,000 to your budget, allowing you to purchase new rigs, hire more drivers, and generally expand your options. Press the "~" key, type in the cheat code "cheat money," and press the "enter" key.
Player Company Cheats
- You can use the cheat code "cheat driver" to add a random driver to your company, which you may want to do if you would rather not spend the money to hire a driver of your choice, or if you just want to be surprised. Another cheat code, "cheat rating X," where X is a number between 0 and 23, can be used to increase your company's rating, and thus increase the number of clients willing to do business with you. This cheat code can also be helpful for saving your company's reputation if you happen to make several bad decisions.
Non-Player Company Cheats
- You can use the cheat code "cheat company" to list the names of all companies while "cheat company X," where X is again a number between 0 and 23, will tell you the branch locations of the selected company and "cheat company X Y" will teleport you to branch Y of company X. You may want to use this cheat code if you find yourself running late in making a delivery.
Function Codes
- The remaining codes are more functional than game-changing. While "quit" quits out of "18 Wheels of Steel: Haulin'" entirely, "exit" simply takes you back to the main menu and pressing the "tab" key displays all console commands that can be used.
