Turn Off an Engine
Press CTRL, SHIFT, F1 all at the same time. This will work on all aircraft in the game.
Get the Jetway (Gate) to Move
When your airplane is properly parked at the airport, hit CTRL and J together to make the gate move into position. This will make the plane accessible to passengers. You must be parked right on the yellow lines and the plane must be completely stopped.
Fuel Truck
While parked properly at the gate, hitting SHIFT and F together will bring the fuel truck over to your plane. This will allow you to continue on to the next airport. Allow the plane to fully refuel so you get the maximum distance from your airplane.
Tow Plane
Hitting CTRL, SHIFT and Y at the same time will summon a tow plane, which is only used when you are in a glider. It makes for easier takeoff, landing and control while in flight.
Push Aircraft with Tug Vehicle
To help push your plane away from the gate and into position for taxi and takeoff, a tub vehicle will assist you if you hit SHIFT and P together.
Opening Doors
Several tips and key commands are used to open aircraft doors. To simply open the doors while in flight or parked, hit SHIFT and E together. The baggage doors can be opened by hitting SHIFT, E and 2 all together. All plane doors can be opened with with one command if you hit SHIFT, E and 3. The command to open all doors works best on larger aircraft.
Easy Movement and Flight
To make flight easier in all aspects of the game, press the Y key along with any other movement command. This function will help you control your aircraft. It can save a plane that's out of control or help a new pilot just starting out on the flight simulator.
