Pinball for XP Cheats

With every copy of Windows XP comes several free games such as Solitaire and Minesweeper. Another of these free games is Pinball. The theme for the pinball game is "Space Cadet" and the object is simply to score as many points as possible before running through all three of your balls. If the challenge is proving too difficult for you, there are a few ways to cheat the system.
  1. Unlimited Balls

    • If three isn't enough for you to get satisfaction out of Windows Pinball, press the F4 key when the game comes up. This will put the game into full screen mode and allow you to punch in a code. When this happens, type in the code "bmax." This will give you unlimited balls, no matter how many times you lose them down the drain. Unfortunately, this and most of the other cheats will prevent high scores from being recorded.

    Rank Promotion

    • Part of the game's object is to complete "missions" which unlock multiball and other features of the game. Successful completion of these missions also means being promoted up through the ranks. However, there is a cheat that can allow you to be promoted without completing a single mission. If you type in the code "rmax" at the beginning of the game, it will promote you a single rank from the start.

    The Super Cheat

    • If the above cheats aren't enough for you, you can enter the debug mode and score as many points as your heart desires. Entering this mode allows you to click and drag the ball to wherever you want to on the table, dropping it in the places that will score the most points. To enter this mode, type "hidden test" during the game. With this, not only can you drag the ball around, you can press the R button to move up rankings, the B button for an extra ball and the H button to directly edit the high scores.
