Arena Cheats
Playing in the arena creates a much more difficult and grueling game of "Bookworm Adventures." There are a few cheats that are specific to the arena that can help you get through it and achieve a much higher score. As you play, time will count down. The longer it takes you to beat a level, the lower your bonus score. You can also lose a life if you run out of time. Type the word "stop" three times while you are in the arena. This will cause time to stop. You can also get an infinite number of potions in the arena by typing "infinite" three times.
Unlockables
There are many secrets and options that can't be accessed immediately in the game. Some of these include the arena, mini-games and the tome of knowledge. These three options are opened by defeating Books in Adventure mode. Knowing what books to defeat can help you choose which books to beat to unlock the options you want. Defeating Book One opens up the Tome of Knowledge. The Tome of Knowledge has information including help on control and information on the various enemies and levels in the game. Finishing Book Two accesses the mini-games. Defeating the mini-games gives you bonuses like potions and extra lives. Finally, defeating Book Three opens up the Arena so you can experience more difficult gameplay.
Silly Cheats
Your worm's appearance is pretty basic. He is a small green worm with glasses and big friendly eyes. However, there are a few silly cheats you can use to change the appearance of your worm. For example, you can open up a silly turkey outfit by typing "gobble" at the title screen. For the rest of the game, your worm will be wearing a turkey outfit. Typing "celebrate" at the title screen gives him a party hat. Typing "lovely" gives him a box of chocolate with hearts rising around his head. You can also change the background by typing in cheats at the title screen. For example, typing in Seattle will give your worm a cup of coffee while rain falls around him. Typing "winter" creates a similar effect, but with snow instead of rain.
