How Do I Enable SV_Cheats on Left 4 Dead Online?

"Left 4 Dead" is a popular zombie shooter survival game by Valve. In the online mode, you take control of one of four survivors and race through the city to escape the zombie apocalypse. There are difficult moments in the game, including the infamous Tank zombie obliterating you and your teammates. One way to make your gaming experience easier is activating the cheat mode via the game's developer console.

     Start up the game and wait until the menu appears. Select "Options."

     Choose "Keyboard/Mouse." Click "Allow Developer Console" to open the drop-down menu. Select "Enabled," then exit.

     Begin hosting a game by loading a map. Press the tilde--the "~" key--to open the console.

     Type "sv_cheats 1" (without the quotation marks) and press "Enter."
