Making Gold
One of the hardest things to do in Westward 3 is to make enough money to advance your settlement quickly. If you do not have enough, there is a quick way to achieve this: hunt animals. First, however, you must build a tannery in one of your towns. This will allow you to convert pelts to gold. For this to work, you also need to hire someone to work there. While this seems simple, many players forgo a tannery and find it difficult later to make up the lost money they could make by shooting dear, rabbits, and bear--each of which has pelts that turn to gold immediately after you pick them up (if you have the tannery).
White Rabbit
Throughout the game, the character of Micah will long for a white rabbit (to make a white rabbit pelt from). There is only one way to do this, and it is to convert all your farms to carrot farms. This will take some time, but the benefits of doing this will greatly outweigh the hardships. Once the farms are converted, you must stalk each of the fields, and the white rabbit will show up. Killing it and giving it to Micah will gain you much gold.
The Black Horse
This is a random occurrence in the game, but one that can be cheated on. In your towns, you are allowed to build a stable. Before doing so, save your game. Once your game is saved, build the stable and look inside. If the black horse is not there, reload the game and rebuild the stable until the black horse arrives. It is random, but you will get it eventually. The black horse can run faster and has more stamina than the other horses. You can also sell it for a much larger sum of money.
