Cheats for The Sims 2: Glamour Life

"The Sims 2: Glamour Life" is an expansion pack for "The Sims 2" that adds new furniature, decorative items and clothing to your "Sims" game. The same cheat codes that you use for "The Sims 2" can be used for "The Sims 2: Glamour Life." Many cheat codes available for "The Sims 2" focus on creating simoleans, placing objects and customizing your sim, all of which are helpful when exploring the new content available in "The Sims 2: Glamour Life."
  1. Money

    • Open up the cheat text box while in the neighborhood view by pressing the "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" keys at the same time. Type "familyfunds <familyname> <number>" where <familyname> is the name of the family you wish to give money to and <number> is the amount of simoleans. For example, type "familyfunds Jones 500" to give the Jones family 500 simoleans. Alternatively, enter a house in the neighborhood and open the cheat text box. Type "kaching" to grant your family 1,000 simoleans or type "motherlode" to grant your family 50,000 simoleans. Simoleans can be used to purchase items and clothing available in "The Sims 2: Glamour Life."

    Sim Appearance

    • Some cheats allow you to customize the appearance of Sims so that you can better enjoy the new clothing available in "The Sims 2: Glamour Life." Enter the house of the sim you wish to customize. Highlight the sims and open the cheat text box. Type "again off" to disable aging or "aging on" into the cheat text box to enable aging. Type "StretchSkeleton #" into the cheat text box to enlarge or shrink your Sim, with 1 being the default size. Type "censorgridsize 0" into the cheat text box to remove censor blurs from naked sims, with the default being 8.

    Socializing

    • Use cheats to improve your Sims' gatherings, allowing Sims to show off their new clothing and items. Type "intProp maxNumOfVisitingSims #" into the cheat text box while highlighting a house in the neighborhood view, with # being the number of Sims you wish to allow visiting the house at one time. Numbers can be 1 through 20. Enter the house of your Sim and type "showHeadlines on" or "showHeadlines off" into the cheat text box to toggle the speech bubbles that appear when Sims talk. Type "social_debug" into the cheat text box in order to see the results of one Sim's social actions toward another Sim.

    Placing Objects

    • Enter the house that you wish to decorate. Type "moveObjects on" or "moveObjects off" into the cheat text box in order to place objects at any location on the house grid, including in front of doors or other locations normally not allowed. Be careful not to block your sim in a room or your Sim could starve to death. Type "boolProp snapObjectsToGrid true" or "boolPropsnapObjectsToGrid false" into the cheat text box to toggle the ability to place objects off of the house grid. These two commands are useful in placing new objects around your house in "The Sims 2: Glamour Life."

    Boolprop Cheats

    • Type "boolProp testingcheatsenabled true" into the cheat text box before you create your Sim to unlock clothing, skin tones and facial appearances normally reserved for nonplayer character Sims. Create your Sim, move him into a house and enter the house. Click on your Sim while pressing the "Shift" key to bring up a menu that allows you to explore such options as changing your Sim's weight and clothing; making your Sim sick; and adjust aspirations points. Alternatively, click on the mailbox while pressing the "Shift" key to bring up a menu that allows you to trigger events such as a burglary and summon NPCs. Do not choose the option to "Force Error" as it does exactly what it says. Type "boolProp testingcheatsenabled false" to turn off the cheat mode.
