How to Dupe on Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction

The ability to duplicate items has been a famous cheat dating to the original Diablo in 1996. There are actually a number of different methods for duping, though, as Blizzard Entertainment routinely patches the game and closes known exploits. It's not guaranteed that one particular method will work for you.

Instructions

  Open the main Diablo 2 directory, then open the "save" subfolder.

  Copy all the files in the folder to your desktop.

  Boot up Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction and log onto a multiplayer game. Get a friend to do the same and join you.

  Drop any items you want duplicated and have your friend hang on to them temporarily, then log out of the multiplayer game.

  Return to your desktop and move the copied save files back into the "save" subfolder of the Diablo 2 directory.

  Log back into the game. Your character should have all the items you previously had, plus your friend should be holding the duplicated items. Repeat the process as often as you like.
