Wild Tribe is a simulation game that is built in the fashion of other classic games such as Sim City or the Sims. One important aspect is the ability to multitask, as you must control the whole society at once. Using shortcuts can help you make decisions and take actions quickly.
If you need to move quickly within Tribeville, familiarize yourself with the number buttons on your keyboard. Once pushed, each one will take you to a different section of the village. This trick can even be used with moving tribe members across the town. Click on the Wobblie you wish to move then press the number key. You will be transported to that section of the map and the character will come with you. Periodically, you will hear a chime sound within the game. This means that a magic item has appeared somewhere on the map. These items show up in random locations and disappear in a matter of seconds if you do not find them fast enough. Quickly grab a character and use the number keys to move around the map until you find it. Drop the character on top of it to gain the magic item.
You can use two functions to cycle through the tribe members. Pressing the "0" key will take you through each character, villager by villager. This will become tedious once you build a larger group. At that point, if you type in the word "Tribe," you will open up a menu that has a complete breakdown of your tribe members.
An important fact to to keep in mind: your game will continue running even if you are not playing. This means that video game time passes as real time passes. Leaving your game without making the proper precautions can spell disaster for your tribe. The only way to cheat the game is to use space bar to pause your game before ending your session. However, if you would like the challenge of seeing if you have led your Wobblies in the right direction, be sure to have at least two doctors and plenty of resource gatherers to keep the village in top shape.
