Higher Starting Money
The starting money is determined by information in the game.cfg file. This file is found in the Config folder of the Singles 2 directory. First, right click on the game.cfg file and select Properties. Uncheck the box next to "Read Only" and press the "OK" button. Open the file using Notepad. Scroll down until you see "moneyEmptyScene = 10000" edit the number on each line down to "moneyStartPenthouse = 10000" to change the starting money. The number entered next to each line will be the starting money for that mode. If you change the number next to "moneyStartPenthouse" from 10000 to 50000, you will start with $50,000 instead to $10,000 when starting in the penthouse. The largest number that can be entered is 999999. Save the file after editing the numbers. Go back to the Properties window for game.cfg file by right clicking on it. Check the box next to "Read Only" and press "OK." The cheat will work the next time you start a new game.
All Modes Enabled
It is possible to automatically enable all the locations in Singles 2: Triple Trouble from the start. This is accomplished by editing the game.cfg file in the same manner as the money cheat. The only difference is that you will alter the word "false" to "true" on several lines. The lines that will need to be edited are "BackyardEnabled," "ApartmentEnabled," and "PenthouseEnabled." The penthouse, apartment and backyard will all be accessible from the beginning of the game.
Skill Points
Skill points are used to improve the various skills of the character in Singles 2: Triple Trouble. Characters with higher skills will be more successful in his or her interactions with other characters. This cheat is accomplished by editing files in the savegame folder of the "Singles 2" directory. The file that needs to be edited is based on where your character lives. If your character lives in the apartment, you need to edit the "savegame_apartment.dat" file. If your character lives in the penthouse, you need to edit the "savegame_penthouse.dat" file. Each file is identical to edit. You do not need to alter the "Read Only" property on the file, which is needed for the game.cfg cheats. Open the file with Notepad and scroll down until you see the line saying "skillpoints." Change the number next to it to 30 and save the file. The next time you load the game, your character will have the maximum number of skill points.
