Diablo 2 Money Cheats

"Diablo II" is an action role-playing game that was released by Blizzard North in 2000 for Windows and Macintosh computers. Players earn money by looting gold and items from defeated enemies. Money in "Diablo II" is needed to buy equipment, potions, scrolls and hirelings from the town merchants. These items are all necessary to proceed through the game. The game has a few methods for the player to cheat and increase the money earned.
  1. Improve Enemy Loot Drops

    • One of the cheats in "Diablo II" can improve the amount of gold and the value of the loot dropped by enemies. Both will aid in gaining money much more quickly for a character. This is done by pressing the "Enter" key while playing. A little white line will appear above the interface bar and allow you to type. Type "/players x" and press "Enter." Replace "x" with a number between 1 and 8. The higher the number, the better the gold and loot dropped by the enemies will be. This code will also increase the health of enemies, making it take longer to kill them. Most people will find 3 and 4 to be good numbers to use.

    Unlimited Cow Level

    • Players can access the Secret Cow Level by putting Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal into the Horadric Cube in the Rogue Encampment. This is the best level in "Diablo II" for earning money due to the high concentration of enemies. The Secret Cow Level is only supposed to be accessed once per difficulty level, and not played repeatedly to earn gold. It is possible to prevent the Cow Level from locking. Fight your way through the Cow Level until you see the words "Cow King" appear at the top of the screen. As soon as you see that, run back to the start of the level and go back through the portal that you entered the level through. The next time you enter the Cow Level, it will be reset, as though you never entered it.

    Hex Editing

    • It is possible to edit "Diablo II" saved games to give more money to your character using a program like Hex Workshop. This should only be done by players who are familiar with hex editing, due to the possibility of ruining the saved game by using this method. The money in the player's stash is stored at hex location 0x265 to 0x268. The money held by the player is stored at hex location 0x269 to 0x272. Entering a larger number at these locations of the save game will give that character a larger amount of money.
