Plant Tycoon is a game about gardening. That may not sound very interesting at first, but it is an in-depth strategy puzzle game that has received rave reviews. The game has a lot of depth and can be complicated. With the right tools, you can succeed on any difficulty when playing Plant Tycoon.

Magic Plants
- There are six magic plants in Plant Tycoon, all of which have different permanent beneficial effects.
  
  The Magic Tree of Fragrance has the permanent effect of luring rare insects to your nursery to aid in pollination. You create this tree by crossing a Jalapa Maranta and a Citrus Ball Cactus.
  
  The Rose of Joy will attract a crowd of people to your nursery to view your plants. To make a Rose of Joy you must cross a Bluestar Astera and a Jalapa Maranta.
  
  To grow a Fabled Rose of Isola you must cross a Jalapa Maranta and a Fragrant Maple. The Fabled Rose will bring notoriety to your greenhouse and increase your wealth.
  
  The Fruit of Life will fortify your greenhouse. Your plants will be more resistant to infestations and will bloom brighter and more often. To create the Fruit of Life, cross a Citrus Ball Cactus with a Venomous Lemonbush.
  
  The Golden Berries of Wealth will increase the number of patrons that visit your greenhouse and how much they spend. You must cross a Fourpetal Reptans with a Venomous Grass to create this plant.
  
  To grow the Flower of Knowledge, you must cross a Spotted Reptans and a Rosaceae Fern. The Flower of Knowledge will tell you exactly how much your plants are worth and will automatically set their price to an optimal level for the rest of the game.
Tips and Tricks
- Don't forget to upgrade your soil before you upgrade your plants. The soil you have at the beginning of the game will only be beneficial for common plants, and any uncommon plant may die or not bloom.
  
  If one of your early game plants gets infested, kill the plant. The poison to rid yourself of the insects is not cost effective until the middle of the game.
  
  Make sure you are diligent in pruning your plants. Pruning will help keep your plants healthy and will promote blooming.
  
  Don't forget to harvest your dead plants for seeds. They will not have as many as a mature living plant, but harvesting will allow you to recoup some of your loss.
  
  Make sure you properly modulate the prices on your plants. If they are selling too slowly, your price is too high. If they are flying off the shelves, you need to increase the price.
