Cheats for Sims 2 Deluxe

In 2007, EA Games released a new edition of the Sims 2, titled Sims 2 Deluxe. This game included better graphics, improved game play and more objects for players to use from the Nightlife expansion pack. Like versions of the game before it, the Sims 2 Deluxe has its fair share of cheat codes to progress the story line and make it easier for players.
  1. Making More Money

    • When building and decorating your Sim's house, it can be difficult when you start to run out of money. In typical game play, the most efficient way to get more cash is by allowing your Sims to go to work to bring home some dough. If you're impatient, or just want your Sims to inherit sheer luxury, there's an easier way to make Simoleons with a simple cheat code. Press "Ctrl," "Shift," and "C" all at the same time to bring up a text bar. Here, type in "Motherlode" and you'll be 50,000 Simoleons richer.

    Boosts of Energy

    • Keeping your Sims alive and healthy is one of the most important aspects of the game. Although you can turn on the "Free Will" option, you still must provoke your Sims to eat and sleep on occasion before they expire due to hunger or a lack of energy. At times, this can be a daunting task, but there is a cheat to keep your Sims alive and well. Press "Ctrl," "Shift," and "C" at the same time, and the text bar will appear. Type in "moveObjects on," and you will be able to delete any object in the game. Delete any Sim that needs an energy boost, and then click on them on the Sim menu to make them reappear. All of their stat bars will be full and green.

    Staying Young at Heart

    • One of the greatest rewards of playing the Sims is being able to watch your family grow. Kids grow up to be adult Sims, and parents grow up to be grandparents. However, not everyone likes this aspect of the game. If you want your Sims to stay the same age, press "Ctrl," "Shift," and "C" at the same time to bring up the text bar again and type "Aging -off" to keep your Sims from growing up. If you ever change your mind, you can turn it back on by typing in "Aging -on."
