How to Use Cheat Codes to Change Lifetime Aspirations in The Sims 2

In The Sims 2, you have created the perfect family and the perfect Sim. But then you find the character you’ve created has one of the worst lifetime aspirations or goals when it grows into an adult or has a life change. Or worse, your Sim could have the dreaded "grilled cheese" aspiration. Use these tips to change your Sim's lifetime aspiration or goal.

Instructions

Press "Ctrl," shift and the letter “c” simultaneously while in the neighborhood screen on the game. Be sure you’re in the neighborhood screen and not an actual lot, as the cheat will not work. This will open the dialog box in the upper left corner of the screen.

    • 2

Type “Boolprop Testingcheatsenabled true” without quotations in the box and press "Enter." Try lowercasing all letters if this does not work at first, as different systems can have capacities of the code being case sensitive. If the cheat works, the box will be empty or expand to show the cheat code history and list this one last.

    • 3

Enter the lot of the Sim whose aspirations you would like to change. While pressing shift, click on the active Sim. Click “set aspiration” or “more” if the option does not appear in the first bundle.

    • 4

Different options will appear for you to choose the aspirations. If you would like for your Sim to keep the same aspiration but have a different goal, temporarily choose a different aspiration. After waiting a few seconds, change the Sim back to its original aspiration and the goal should change.

Turn the cheat code off by using the same "Boolprop..." cheat from Step 2, but type "false" instead of "true."
