How to Use The Sims Cheats

You can use cheat codes in "The Sims" to make improvements to your sims, their house and their finances. You can also use cheat codes to make your game more interesting than normal play. They are a great way to try new game experiences.

Instructions

  Open "The Sims" and load the game you want to use cheat codes for. Press the keys "Ctrl," "Shift" and "C" simultaneously. You will see a text box pop up in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. This is where you will enter the cheat codes.

  Get free money by entering the cheat code "Rosebud" in the text box. You will be given 1,000 simolions every time you do this. You can enter the code as many times as you wish.

  Make improvements to outdoor areas with the codes "Grow_grass" and "Water_tool." The grow_grass cheat code will allow you to put green grass in brown spots where plants have died. The water_tool code allows you to give your sims an outdoor pond.

  Expand the size of your lot with the code "Map_edit on." After entering the code, your sims can increase the size of their lot and add landscaping or building to the new areas. When you are through making the improvements, enter "Map_edit off" to go back to your game.

  Eliminate the clutter of daily mail and newspapers with the "Move_objects on" cheat code. This will allow you to move and delete any object. Click on your mailbox and delete it and you will stop getting mail and newspapers. Best of all, with no mailbox, you can no longer receive bills.

  Give your sims an indoor swimming pool. Normally, swimming pools are only allowed outside, but get around this. Build an outdoor pool close to your house. Tear down the wall closest to the pool and expand your walls to enclose the pool.
