Atlantis Underwater Tycoon Cheats

In Activision's 2003 release "Atlantis Underwater Tycoon," you discover a real-estate market even under the ocean. Your empire will grow or fail based on your ability to earn, spend, and manage your money. In addition to managing economics, you must defend your settlements from enemy submarine barrages. Many players employ game cheats to finish the missions. Game cheats can increase the money in your bank or even equip your home base with a powerful nuclear weapon.

Backing Up Your Files
- Each of the cheats for "Atlantis Underwater Tycoon" requires editing game files. This isn't illegal; however, if you enter it incorrectly or want to restore the game, you should back up your game files. Create a subfolder in the game folder, title it "backup files," and duplicate any text files. When restoring files, they must have the same name as the original. If the original file's name is "missions" and the backup file's name is "missions backup," you will have to restore the title before "Atlantis Underwater Tycoon" will recognize it.
Unlimited Money for Missions
- This cheat ensures the growth of your Atlantis empire will never be inhibited by money. In the game files folder, open the text file labeled "missions." Using the find function, locate a line reading "[fund]100000." Keep [fund] intact and change the money variable to the amount cash with which you will start each mission. Save the file when you are done editing.
Unlimited Money for Sandbox
- Sandbox mode allows you to build underwater uninhibited by missions. With this cheat you will have as much money as you desire during sandbox.
  
  In the game file folders, locate the file "sandbox." Similar to the "Unlimited Money for Missions" cheat, locate the "[funds]" line of text and adjust the number. Multiple entries for [funds] in the sandbox file exist, each pertaining to a specific sandbox map. Each map can have its own funds set differently. Save the sandbox file once you finish editing.
Home Base Nukes
- If you're tired of your base building not having any built-in defenses and would like the ability to launch nuclear strikes, then this cheat will make you Atlantian dreams come true.
  
  In the game directory, locate and open a text file named "buildings." Using the text search function, find the home base building. Identify an entry for your home base reading "weapon[none]"; changing the entry [none] will equip your base. Type "p-nuke" for nuclear strikes or "p-bullet" to equip your base with bullets. Make sure to save the file once you've finished editing.
