Trading Trick
Sometimes other tribes will try to trade with you, but the deal they offer is rarely beneficial to you. However, there is a trick that forces the seller to improve this offer. Do not accept the initial proposal, instead try a Counter Offer. Choose all the items that the other tribe were selling in the Counter Offer screen and then select the "'What will you give me for this?" option. The tribe will come back with many items not in the original deal that are more valuable to you.
Quick Wonders
It is possible in "Sid Meier's Civilization III" to speed up the building process, but this option is disabled when constructing Wonders. Start constructing a Wonder and then a normal building project, selecting the one with the highest production cost. Use the "Force Labor" option to speed up this project. Switch to the Wonder, and the speed from the previous construction will be transferred. The Wonder is built much quicker than usual.
Elvis Unit
Some game modes in "Sid Meier's Civilization III," such as Regicide, use King units. These units are the leader of the nation you play with, so if you were using America, then the King unit would be Abraham Lincoln. Change the date on your computer to January 8 and play a match with King units. Whatever country you choose, the King Unit will look like Elvis Presley, also known as The King. This is because January 8 is Elvis' birthday.
Other Cheats
Save your game at any time, but ensure the word "multi" is included in the saved game file name, for example, "Dave's game multi." Load up this game file, and the whole map will now be displayed, showing all of the resources.
Begin a new game and instead of entering your name in the Leader Name box, enter "Leemur." You will start off with 100,000 gold.
