Stronghold: Crusader English Version Cheats

"Stronghold: Crusader" is a castle-based strategy game released for the PC in 2002. Set in the heated battles of the Crusades, you must either conquer your opponents' fortified embankments, or protect your own land from their attacks. There are a number of cheats to make gameplay easier. All of these codes must be entered after you press "Shift," "Alt" and "A" at the main menu.
  1. Destroying Strongholds

    • Key features of the game have you finding strategies to attack the enemy forces using as few soldiers as possible. Part of your goal is to eliminate the defenses of your foes. To quicken the pace, hit "Alt" and "G" together to destroy your enemy's main stronghold. To destroy the entire enemy fortress, hit "Alt" and "K."

    Destroy Enemies

    • Thousands of soldiers clutter the screen when the battles of the game take place. Eliminating a few enemies can be the difference between a victory and a defeat. To pick individual enemies for removal, select a character, then press "Alt" and "Z." To defeat all onscreen enemies, hit "Alt" and "Y."

    Increased Popularity and Money

    • You need money and manpower to create your army, and to help defend against the enemy armies. Hit "Alt" and "X" increase your popularity by 100, while also increasing your money by 1,000. If you want an even easier method to build improvements, hit "Alt" and "F." All upgrades and purchases will now be free.

    Unlock All Missions

    • "Stronghold: Crusader" features 50 levels, linked through different characters to use. Hitting "Alt" and "C" will not only cycle through the characters to use, it also unlocks all missions. To increase the character's level, hit "Alt" and "P."

    Custom Taunts

    • To create custom taunts, you need a microphone. First, find the sound folder where you installed "Crusader." Look for the file "Insult1," which is the first in-game taunt. There are 20 taunts in all. Right-click on the file to bring up a menu. Hit "Record" from the menu. After you're done recording, instead of saving, close the box and a message will say the directory of the file has changed. Save the file. Once you record your own taunt, the old one can't be brought back, unless you reinstall the game.
