Hidden Object Scene Hints
The majority of game play involves finding objects in cluttered scenes. You will oftentimes find long, thin objects alongside walls and other flat surfaces. For example, you may find an umbrella worked into the lines of a windowsill. If you're stumped, leave the scene and come back later. Stepping away from the scene can help you reset your eyes. Use a hint if you simply cannot find an object. This hint meter recharges slowly, so use hints sparingly.
Random Clicking
Although you will earn a time penalty for clicking too fast, you can randomly click the scene at a slow pace. Time your clicks about one second apart. Random clicking can be useful when you simply cannot find an item or do not feel like finding every item in the scene. It is especially helpful at the beginning of each hidden object game, when hidden objects are plentiful.
MS Paint Cheat
If you are running out of time, take advantage of a cheat. Instead of letting the timer run out and losing all progress in the game, open a puzzle or hidden object scene and press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. Close the game to stop the timer. Open MS Paint and paste the screenshot into the paint palette. You can now search through the picture, taking note of clue locations. When you find each item, reopen the game and finish the puzzle or scene.
Solving the Final Puzzle
The last puzzle in the game involves moving jewels around an eight-point star. Start with the jewel in the "12 o'clock" position and move clockwise in the following pattern. Move the first jewel to slot number six. Jewel eight moves to slot three, four moves to one, seven moves to four, two moves to seven, five moves to two and five moves to eight. Once you flip the jewels in that order, the box unlocks and reveals the final clue in the case.
