Counter Strike Console Cheats

"Half-Life: Counter Strike" requires team-based strategy as you play as either terrorist or antiterrorist teams in multiplayer matches. This 2000 title offers plenty of cheats you can use to adjust the action. Enter the cheat console by pressing the "~" key and then type "sv_1" followed by the cheat code. Hit the "Enter" key to activate it.

Weapon Access
- Type "give" plus the appropriate code to get the so-named weapon: "weapon_sg552" for the Commando, "weapon_deagle" for the Desert Eagle, "weapon_p90" for the FN P90, "weapon_glock18" for the Glock, "weapon_g3sg1" for the H&K Sniper Rifle, "weapon_usp" for the USP .45, "weapon_kevlar" for a Kevlar vest, "weapon_nightvision" for the night vision goggles.
Super Abilities
- Crush your opponents with cheats that give you super powers. The code "god" will make your character invincible. Type "gl_zmax 0" and you will be able to both see and fire through objects and walls. Adjust your speed in several different directions as well. Enter the cheat "cl_forwardspeed 999" to move forward faster, "cl_backspeed 999" to move backward faster and "cl_sidespeed 999" to move side-to-side faster.
Gun Help
- Use the cheat "sv_aim" to get auto-aim for your sniper rifle. Your weapon will automatically reload when you type the cheat "+reload." Switch your weapons faster by entering the code "hud_fastswitch 1." Change the size of the crosshair by using the cheat "crosshair <x>" whereas "x" can be set between one and five. The larger the number, the larger the size of the crosshair.
Water &Air Effects
- Change the effect of water on your ability to move with some additional cheats. Type the code "sv_wateraccelerate 999" and you can move quickly through the water. Use the cheat "sv_waterfriction 0" to reduce the friction water has on your character. Enter "sv_airaccelerate 999" to move faster in the air.
