Goals
To score an easy goal, move your character towards the corner flag. press the "O" key three times. Most of the time, the ball shoots past the goalie and scores a point. If your player has learned the "Shot Technique" skill, press R2 as you press the "shoot" button to cause the ball to swerve.
Practice
Enter practice mode to work on difficult to learn skills, such as free kicks. Navigate to the main menu and click on the "Practice Mode" button. Practice free kicks from as many spots near the goal as possible. Try kicking from the left and right or adding a swerve to the ball. If you want to make a free kick from halfway across the court, your power meter must be full.
Goalies
Though you can change your team over time, your initial team always consists of the same three goalies. Ivarov, the best goalie on your team, has strong jumping and keeping skills. His skills start dropping after three years on your team. Zamenhof, the oldest goalie on your team, has a high balance stat but loses skills steadily. Lothar, 22 years old, lacks the skills of your other goalies by he keeps improving for several years. His highest skill is response.
Making A Team
As years go by, your team gains money and finds a tanking. You may wish to add players to your team by transferring one of your players for another player. If possible, buy players from the teams that perform at a higher level than you. This increases your team's ability while decreasing their team's ability. In many cases, players with high salaries refuse to transfer unless you greatly increase their salary. Offer high levels of money with caution as few players are worth exorbitant salaries.
Editing Players
Visit the "Settings: menu and select "Player Editing." Increase the skill level, height and weight of your favorite player to increase the player's ability. This increases your chance of winning matches but may alter your game in other ways, such as increasing the minimum salary requirement for the player.
Unlocking Teams
To unlock "Classic" teams you must win the Puma Cup with the original version of the team. For example, the unlock Classic Brazil, you must win the Puma cup with the Brazil team. This allows you to unlock Argentina, England, Germany, Italy, Netherlands and France in the classic version.
