Power-Ups
To obtain a power-up, you'll need to match three sets of spheres in a given puzzle. Throughout the game, you'll need to match up your colored spheres with those in a moving string alongside them. You'll need a grouping of at least three matching spheres to qualify, and after three said matches, you'll receive a power-up. So, you'll receive this bonus every third match, unless you miss a shot, in which case the match count is reset back to one.
Simple Power-Ups
Simple power-ups vary in strength based on what level you've purchased through the in-game Luxor 3 store. You will accumulate coins through your completion of puzzles during the game, and you can use those coins to purchase simple power-ups. They will begin with "small-level" power-ups, lasting only about two seconds, increasing in strength as you purchase upgrades. These simple variations include "Slow," which slows down the moving string's speed for a few seconds, and "Reverse," which reverses said string for about five seconds.
Advanced Power-Ups
As you continue through the puzzles, increasing color variations will be introduced. You start with blue, green, red and yellow. Purple, white and black are gradually added to increase difficulty. Consequently, the power-ups available in the store increase to include "advanced" varieties, such as "Scorpion," which destroys up to 20 spheres in the string closest to the pyramid, and "Match Highlighter," which reveals potential matches on the screen for up to 20 seconds.
Console Cheats
Once the game has begun, there are a few alterations you can make to gameplay by activating the Luxor 3 console. The key combination of "Ctrl," "Shift" and the "minus" key will do just this. If you enter "developer true," it will unlock capabilities during gameplay that include destroying all the visible spheres (press "D"), retrying the stage (press "R"), and revealing potential paths (press "P").
