How to Change the Cheat Engine Process Name

Cheat Engine is a software designed to cheat when playing video games by altering the information about the game that resides in the memory. Game creators started including protection software capable of detecting the use of Cheat Engine. To avoid detection, you will need to change the process name of Cheat Engine.

      Go to the "Start" menu and click on "Computer."

      Go to "Local Disk (C:)" and then "Program Files (x86)" if you are on a 64-bit system or "Program Files" if you are on a 32-bit system.

      Locate and double click on the "Cheat Engine" or Cheat Engine X.XX" where X.XX is the version number.

      Select "Cheat Engine.exe," press "F2" and rename it "CE.exe."
