How to Install the Drexler Patch for Roller Coaster Tycoon

The "Drexler patch" is an unofficial patch for "Rollercoaster Tycoon 1" that allows the use of "trainers." These are cheat programs that allow players to change whatever variables they like in a saved game, from unlocking all rides and shops to loading a player's coffers with unlimited cash. This patch is also knowns as "RCTpatch" and is not officially supported by the developer.

     Download RCTPatch.zip (or .exe) from the official site (see Resources). Unzip the file if necessary and run the executable.

     Click "Yes" if the program has correctly determined the location of RCT.exe. Wait for a status report to say the patch was successful.

     Open Rollercoaster Tycoon, then try to load a saved game. The patch works if saved games load as normal.
