How to Change What the Maid Is Wearing on The Sims

If "The Sims" could be faulted for anything, it's the amazing extent of the daily minutiae that your Sim is required to deal with. Luckily, your families can avoid cleaning dishes, making beds, taking out the trash, and tidying up in favor of more prosperous pursuits by hiring a maid to work for you while you play. If the traditional "French maid" costume is too much for you, it can be changed for the neighborhood's sake into something less formal.

Instructions

    • 1

Load a household with at least one single male occupying it from the "Neighborhood" screen.

    • 2

Call the maid service on a phone if you do not have a maid service already. It will cost 10 simoleons an hour for a maid to clean your home.

    • 3

Speak with the maid in the limited fashion allowed: with the "Chat" option, the "Praise" option and the "Tip" option. Tipping is by far the most effective way to develop a relationship early on, and can be done in various increments.

    • 4

Ask the maid to stay and visit after she finishes her work. Talk with her, tell jokes, hug and kiss her, and eventually marry her once she is receptive and in love with your character.

    • 5

Direct her to a chest of drawers or other piece of furniture to choose a shirt, pants, and shoes.
